Dodgeball Days in Schaumburg July 15-16

The National Amateur Dodgeball Association’s 12th annual Dodgeball Days will take place late next week at Schaumburg’s Olympic Park.

And there’s still time to enter a team before the registration deadline on Tuesday, July 12.

The two-day event will culminate in the crowning of the association’s outdoor national champions of the year in both youth and adult categories.

The youth competition for grades 4-12 is Friday, July 15. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.

A captain’s meeting will be held at 10 a.m. with matches beginning at 10:30 a.m. Multiple grade divisions exist for the youth competition. The youth and high school fee is $80 for a team of six to 10 players.

The adult competition for 18 and up is Saturday, July 16. Packet pickup will begin at 8:30 a.m. A captain’s meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by matches beginning at 10 a.m. Men’s, women’s and co-rec divisions are available. The adult fee is $125 for a team of six to 10 players.

Olympic Park is at 1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road, just west of Martingale Road and Route 53 in Schaumburg. For information or to register a team, call (847) 985-2120 or visit dodgeballusa.com.

The Schaumburg Park District created the National Amateur Dodgeball Association a dozen years ago, in part to be a tourism draw for the Schaumburg area.
