Fox River Grove man robbed of $400

Fox River Grove police are looking for the three masked teenage boys they say used a knife to rob a fourth teenager of $400 Tuesday.

At 10:50 a.m., a 19-year-old Fox River Grove man was walking on School Street at Mound Street when he felt a sharp object in the middle of his back, police said.

One of the teens demanded that he give them money.

The man handed over the $400 and then teens ran west on School Street, toward Northwest Highway, Police Chief Ron Lukasik said. The first suspect is described as a 16-year-old, 5-foot-9-inch Hispanic boy with a thin build, who was wearing a blue ski mask and a brown hooded sweatshirt. The other two are each described as 16-year-old, 5-foot-6-inch Hispanic boys with medium builds. Each was wearing a black ski mask and a tan hooded sweatshirt, Lukasik said.

If you have any information about the suspects, call the Fox River Grove Police Department at (847) 639-2411 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 762-7867.
