Schaumburg Boomers hold announcer contest

The Schaumburg Boomers are now taking submissions via YouTube for those interested in entering the two-part contest to become the voice of Boomers Stadium during the team’s inaugural season.

The public address announcer will be the primary voice for the Schaumburg Boomers at all 48 home games. The team will begin accepting online submissions immediately for the first phase of the contest. Entrants must read from an audition script that can be found at boomersbaseball.com and send a 30-second YouTube video or mp3 audio file to Dave Salvi, the Boomers vice president of marketing and promotions, at dsalvi@boomersbaseball.com.

All submissions must be received by 11 a.m. April 25. Ten finalists will audition at Boomers Stadium on Saturday, April 28.
