Get car repair financing with Volo's Kodiak Collision Specialists

The Insurance Information Institute suggests that if you have a $200 deductible on your auto insurance policy, raising it to $500 could reduce the cost of collision and comprehensive coverage by up to 30%. Raising your deductible to $1,000 could lower your premium by 40% or more.

That works well unless you are in a major collision and you don't have $1,000 to pay your deductible. That means if your car is still drivable and you can't pay the deductible you'll be driving around with a hanging bumper or doors that can no longer open.

Kodiak Collision Specialists in Volo believes that there is a solution. They are launching a new program whereby auto owners can finance their deductible through Kodiak, allowing the car repairs to be made while drivers finance the repair costs.

“With today's economy and drivers opting for higher deductibles to save money on premiums, I really feel sorry for car owners who can't meet the deductible levels. They need the auto repaired but don't have the money. So we realized that we could become a resource for drivers, allowing them to get their car repaired and financed at the same location,” said Brian Becker, General Manager of Kodiak Collision Specialists that offers all body shop and full-service mechanical work.

"Neglecting repairs is ill advised for any car owner. Damage that is not repaired accelerates rust and general vehicle degradation which dramatically decreases car value," added Keith Holmes, Kodiak Shop Manager. “We see this as a win-win for drivers and insurance companies, who want to see autos repaired and back on the road in good condition to preserve the value of the automobile.”
