How bad is Gov. Romney’s amnesia?

Romneycare, in Massachusetts, is the model used for Obamacare, and now the Romney campaign hates it.

When former Gov. Romney lists the provisions of his “new” health care plan, he forgets to mention that his “new” proposals are already in the Affordable Care Act -- minus the provisions needed to pay for it. Romney not only flip-flops, he hates his old-self during the flips.

President Obama got the Nixon-The American Heritage-Dole-Romney Health-Care bill passed, and now Republicans have forgotten it is what they had been working for since the 1970s. If Republicans had passed the ACA, they would be singing its praises.

President Obama won this one, yet Republicans use unlimited PAC money flooding the airwaves with lying attack ads slandering President Obama’s achievement.

Over $230 million has been spent attacking ACA laws since it was passed in 2010. To date, most ACA provisions have not been enacted and most Americans have been misled about ACA benefits, especially un-employed people 55 to 65 who will be getting help to purchase health-care.

The ACA is fundamentally a free-market system backed by government protections and support which will provide customers more purchasing power when shopping for health care. It also saves tax dollars by reducing the need for emergency room care for the uninsured. Already, everyone in America has access to some form of health care just by going to emergency rooms; hospitals can not throw the uninsured into Dumpsters. Hospitals must treat the uninsured and hope to get reimbursed from frustrated tax payers. The ACA is an attempt to pay for our already overburdened health care system in a fair and responsible manner. The former governor of Massachusetts is truly confused when he campaigns against it, especially since it was his Massachusetts Health Care Laws that paved the way.
