Advocate Condell hosts lecture on irregular heart rhythms

Advocate Condell Medical Center is offering a free community education lecture on how to live with irregular heart rhythms.

“Don't Skip a Beat: Living with Atrial Fibrillation,” will be presented on Monday, Aug. 27, at the hospital's Gurnee Centre Club, 1405 Hunt Club Road.

Many people live with A-Fib --- the most common type of irregular heartbeat. A-Fib is a serious condition that can dramatically increase stroke risk, but it's sometimes difficult to diagnose.

Mehran Jabbarzadeh, MD, Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology, will outline symptoms of A-Fib and give tips on talking to your doctor about concerns. He'll also review the latest treatments, and answer questions from the audience.

The lecture takes place at 6:30 pm. The program is free, but registration is required. Call 1.800.3.ADVOCATE (1.800.323.8622) or visit advocatehealth.com/Condell. The registration code for this free program is 5C41.
