Addison KinderCare prepares for back-to-school season

Children at the Addison KinderCare Learning Center are learning and growing as they head into a new school year. The center, which has been part of the community for 28 years, has been busy preparing for back-to-school and making exciting improvements – all designed to enhance the learning environment. Addison KinderCare families are excited about the new updates, including improvements to the playground and a wheelchair accessible entrance, which will give the center a fresh start to the new school year.

In addition, the center earned a State of Illinois Quality Counts Childcare grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services for their work in preparing the state's youngest students for academic success. This $12,000 grant was used to purchase a variety of new tools for the center such new equipment to help infants and toddlers improve their large motor skills, a new library full of children's books, and two new computers for each classroom.

The Addison KinderCare accepts children ages six weeks to 12 years and in a variety of programs and classrooms. The center operates from 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and is located at 950 N. Lombard, Addison, IL 60101.
