ECC fine arts staff to showcase works in exhibit

An exhibition featuring artwork from 14 Elgin Community College fine arts faculty members will be Tuesday, Aug. 21, through Saturday, Sept. 22, in Safety-Kleen Gallery One, inside the ECC Arts Center, Building H, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

“When faculty displays the depth of their skills and knowledge outside the classroom setting, they communicate their artistic visions in tangible and exciting ways,” said Ed Krantz, the college’s gallery curator.

The exhibit features these faculty members: Howard Russo, professor of visual arts; Eddwin Meyers, art instructor; Sigrid Wonsil, art instructor; Doreen Rasmussen, art instructor; Travis Linville, art instructor of photography; Daniel Josh, art instructor; Joel Peck, associate professor of art; Peggy Dee, art instructor; Claire St. John, art instructor; Ellen Vartanian-Maher, art instructor; Phillip Saindon, art instructor; Nancy Reid, art adjunct instructor; Patricia Brutchin, art adjunct instructor; and Curtis Readel, art adjunct instructor.

An artists’ reception will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in Safety-Kleen Gallery One. The reception is free. For information, contact Ed Krantz at (847) 214-7405 or ekrantz@elgin.edu.
