Go, go, go Joseph
Drury Lane Theatre concludes its season with a revival of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," the musical by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Adapted from the story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis, it centers on Jacob's youngest son Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his brothers to Potiphar. After rebuffing the advances of Potiphar's wife, Joseph is jailed until his ability to interpret dreams attracts the attention of the Pharoah. Evan Alexander Smith, who appeared in Chicago's pre-Broadway run of "Amazing Grace," stars as Joseph. Party time at Hofbrauhaus
Hofbrauhaus Chicago is turning 5, so the beer hall is throwing a celebration starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20.
