Daily Herald Leadership Teams

We’re pleased today to present our 2007-08 Daily Herald Leadership Team.clock The teenagers on these pages, both the winners and the honorable mentions, are a remarkable lot.

Their volunteer activities cover a wide range of interests. Some mentor children or feed the hungry, some fund-raise o rmake life brighter for elderly persons. Others travel to distant places to teach children or rebuild destroyed homes. The common thread is that these are students who do, not just talk. And, without exception, these are students who lead.

We call it the Leadership Team for a reason. Volunteering at anything is valuable—but the people who organize and convince others of a cause worth taking up are the ones making real change.

The nearly 100 public and private high schools in our readership area have produced another bumper crop of outstanding teenagers who believe their mission is to leave the world a better place.

We’re proud to introduce them to you.
