Can five overweight people go from fat to fit in 12 weeks?
The Daily Herald and its fitness-focused publication Live Well magazine will find out in the Fittest Loser Challenge.
Trainers from Push Fitness in Schaumburg will work the contestants into shape, for prizes to whoever loses the greatest percentage of body weight in 12 weeks.
The contestants are all off to a great start after the first two weeks:
Lisa Notarnicola, Hoffman Estates: lost 6.9 pounds for a 3.7 percent loss
Eric Ronzio, Arlington Heights: lost 7.3 pounds for a 2.6 percent weight loss
Liesl Ignoffo, Hoffman Estates: lost 3.7 pounds for a 2.1 percent weight loss
Rob Bohanek, St. Charles: lost 10.7 pounds for a 3.7 percent weight loss
Christine Reiss, Hanover Park: lost 3.1 pounds for a 1.7 percent weight loss
