The Harper College football team will once again travel to Michigan to take on the best team in the Midwest Football Conference in Grand Rapids Community College (8-0) for a Region IV semifinal at 1 p.m. Saturday at Houseman Field.
The Hawks are coming off a rainy 33-9 road loss to Grand Rapids last weekend.
The 33 points given up by the Hawks (2-6) was Grand Rapids' lowest point total of the season. The Hawks were without three starting offensive lineman for last week's game due to various injuries but coach Eric Waldstein believes they will be back for this weekend's game.
Waldstein credits the hard work of head athletic trainer Paige Erland for having the players ready to go.
"I am excited to go back up there and play them again," Waldstein said. "The team feels that it can beat this team (Grand Rapids)."
If the Hawks are fortunate enough to defeat Grand Rapids, they would face the winner of the COD-Joliet game the following week on the road.
