EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- So close. A newborn was delivered just feet away from the emergency room entrance to an Eau Claire hospital.

Tiffanie Kohls says baby Kellen was on his way Sunday, and there was no stopping him. After arriving by car from Stanley, Kohls says she couldn't hold out anymore as her mom pulled the car up to Sacred Heart Hospital.

Her mother ran into the hospital, summoned two security guards and grabbed a wheelchair. But, before nurses could race down from the maternity ward, the baby arrived, right there on the sidewalk. Mother and child are doing fine.

Kohls says no doubt Kellen will hear the story of his birth many times while growing up.
