Kane County

• A parked car was reported damaged Oct. 27 in an apparent hit-and-run crash at Kane Street and Woodlawn Avenue in St. Charles Township.

• A panel window valued at $2,000 was reported damaged Wednesday in an apparent burglary attempt on the 36W100 block of River View Court, St. Charles Township.

North Aurora

• James A. Schwartz, 61, of the 700 block of Calico, Aurora, was stopped by police at Lincolnway and Sullivan Road at 11:53 p.m. Oct. 28. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs, failure to signal a turn, failure to wear a seat belt, speeding, possession of cannabis (3.1 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia (a metal pipe.)

• John E. Dismukes, 52, of the 300 block of Grandville Avenue, Bellwood, was stopped at 9:53 p.m. Oct. 18 at Lincolnway and Sullivan Road. Police charged him with operating a vehicle with expired registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and having an altered, forged or counterfeit statement of origin, title or junk certificate, a report said.
