An Elgin man was convicted Monday of sexually assaulting two young boys over a period of two years, authorities said.

Michael J. Jackson, 32, of the 400 block of Addison Street, was found guilty of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after a bench trial in front of Kane County Circuit Judge Timothy Q. Sheldon.

Prosecutors said Jackson was not a stranger to the boys he assaulted between June 2004 and December 2006, when they were younger than 13.

Jackson faces 15 to 120 years in prison when sentenced Dec. 10, the Kane County state's attorney's office said. He remains in the county jail pending sentencing.
