While many people have been musing over the false quotes of Rush Limbaugh, I keep wondering when someone will pay attention to the racial implications of a wealthy white liberal Chicago alderman refusing to even allow a vote in the city council that would provide 400 to 500 jobs in the African American community where the unemployment is lingering around 50 percent.

Walmart wants to build a store in a poor community, the people living in the community want and need the jobs, and don't care if there non union jobs. The alderman of the ward wants the store, but apparently Ed Burke can't find it in his heart to allow such a thing to happen.

In our first African-American president's own political town, a white alderman won't even allow a vote to give 400 to 500 African Americans a chance at a job? Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is Al Sharpton? Where is Father Phleger? Why are they not out there fighting for these people fighting to get them jobs they desperately need.
