DuPage County, District 2: Redick

Republican Jeff Redick, a lawyer from Elmhurst who was elected in 2006, faces Democrat Catherine Sewell of Elmhurst, a retired CEO of a nonprofit corporation, in the race for DuPage County Board District 2.

Sewell comes well-prepared, but Redick can point specifically to important campaign promises kept, such as making changes to provide more detailed and long-term budgeting, better transparency and more ethics and openness in county government.

Redick is endorsed.

The district includes Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace, most of Lisle, Lombard and Villa Park, plus portions of Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Hinsdale and Woodridge.
