Want Bears tickets? Crack out your wallet

While a limited number of tickets for the NFC championship game will go on sale Tuesday afternoon, ticket brokers expect the Bears' matchup with Green Bay to bring in the big bucks.

“This is absolutely the NFC championship that everybody kind of hoped for.” said Joellen Ferrer, StubHub company spokesperson. “I would expect this to be the top selling conference championship in our company history.”

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster at 2 p.m. Tuesday ranging from $134 to $586 a seat, but StubHub expects ticket prices to average around $675 a seat.

About 3,000 tickets were available on StubHub on Sunday night, but Ferrer said buyers began scooping up tickets during halftime as the Bears lead the Seahawks 21-0 in their divisional playoff game at Soldier Field.

Prices for Green Bay seats were listed at around $500 Sunday night, but top tickets are expected to reach $5,000 a seat, according to Ferrer.

The company's top events of all-time have included this year's BCS National Championship, Game 6 of the 2010 World Series and last year's Super Bowl, but Ferrer said Sunday's game could crack the top five events in StubHub history.

“The demand for tickets has been through the roof,” she said.
