Dad: Arizona girl's corneas saved vision of 2 kids

TUCSON, Ariz. — The father of the young girl killed in the Tucson mass shooting tells The Associated Press that his daughter's corneas have saved the vision of two children.

John Green said Monday that the Donor Network of Arizona told him and his wife that two children can see now because of the donation of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green's corneas.

He says he doesn't know whether his daughter's other organs have gone to any other children, but he's under the impression that her wounds rendered her internal organs unusable.

The Donor Network of Arizona declined to comment on any donation, citing confidentiality.

John Green says he and his wife Roxanna didn't hesitate to allow doctors to use Christina's organs.
