St. Charles Domino’s robbed at gunpoint
St. Charles police are looking for information behind an armed robbery that took place late Friday night at a Domino’s Pizza in St. Charles, officials said.
Sgt. Tom Shaw said two employees of the pizza franchise were robbed at gunpoint at closing time about 1 a.m.
No one was injured in the incident.
Shaw said two men walked into the Domino’s in the 1400 block of 50 W. Main St. wearing ski masks. One of the suspects showed the employees a gun and ordered them to lay face down on the ground.
The victims were duct-taped on their wrists and ankles and led by one robber to a back office while the second robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and the safe. The victims were then told to wait five minutes before escaping and calling police, Shaw said.
Shaw said police and canine units searched for the robbers but didn’t find any solid leads. The employees did not get any solid descriptions of the robbers due to the masks, he added.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Charles Police Department at (630) 337-4435.
