Aurora cops seek leads in watch store robbery

Aurora police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a man who robbed the Tag Heuer outlet store earlier this month of women's watches worth $65,000 and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man, wearing all black, arrived about 9 p.m. Feb. 4 at the store, 1650 Premium Outlet Blvd., Suite 1195, and told two women clerks he was robbing the shop, authorities said Thursday.

The man then displayed what police described as a “small handgun,” gave one of the clerks a bag and told her to fill it with cash and women's watches. The clerk complied, and when she handed the bag back to the suspect, he walked out of the store heading south, authorities said.

The offender was described as a black man between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing all black clothing, including something partially covering his face.

Authorities said no customers were in the store at the time of the armed robbery and no injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora police at (630) 256-5500 or make an anonymous call to Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000.
