NAACP Milwaukee president to speak at Marquette

MILWAUKEE — The president of the Milwaukee branch of the NAACP will speak this week at Marquette University.

James Hall, a prominent civil rights attorney, is now in his second year at the helm of the local branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

He's expected to discuss the organization's new initiative, which seeks to make the city less segregated, better educated and more prosperous. He will also discuss the serious challenges facing Milwaukee.

He will speak Thursday afternoon at Eckstein Hall.
