Big win for Grayslake North

Grayslake North 10, Stevenson 5: The Knights (4-1) were once again led on defense by goalie Eric York and long poles Shane Pech, Josh Kortenkamp, Bryce Hermsen and Ben Smith.

The midfield play continues to be a strong suit for the Knights, as Dave Collins, Brendan Walker, Josh Cokefair, Freddie Williams and Farhan Khan were tireless throughout the contest, coach Brad Fish said.

Nick Stanfel helped control the action from the faceoff circle. The offense was again led by junior AJ Fish with 4 goals and 4 assists. Senior Matt Schlagetter added a goal and 4 assists. Joey Amsler tallied twice with Jack Mattea, Williams and Khan rounding out the scoring for the Knights.

Stevenson’s Brendan Sheehan scored twice from the midfield and was all over the field, Brad Fish said.

Next up for Grayslake North is Fremd on Saturday at home.
