Motorcyclist killed in Geneva rear-end crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a rear-end crash at a Geneva intersection Monday, police said.

The Memorial Day fatality happened at 6:42 p.m. when a Honda motorcycle traveling north on Randall Road crashed into the rear end of a Chevy sport utility vehicle at Gleneagle Drive, according to a news release.

Geneva police said the motorcycle’s sole occupant was pronounced at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately released, pending notification of family members.

The Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting in the investigation.
