Obama does have full employment plan

Regarding Jerry Zacny’s June 21 letter to the editor, where he is wondering what President’s Obama’s plan for full employment is? President Obama’s plan is called the American Jobs Act.

“To create jobs, the President unveiled the American Jobs Act — nearly all of which is made up of ideas that have been supported by both Democrats and Republicans, and that Congress should pass right away to get the economy moving now. The purpose of the American Jobs Act is simple: put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans. And it would do so without adding a dime to the deficit.” — Geraldo Rivera, Fox News.

Phil Gordon, the mayor of Phoenix, Arizona believes the American Jobs Act should be passed today. “We cant afford to keep waiting. And the politics that are being played not only in Washington, D.C., but across the country are just devastating our nation, our cities. And it’s important not only to put people back to work but to train them for the 21st century.”

According to Congressman Roskam’s office, this legislation, HR 12, has been referred to committee. President Obama did his job by creating the American Jobs Act. It is up to Congress to do its job and pass it.
