Beach Park bar shuttered after arrests

A Beach Park bar has been shut down after a yearlong investigation led to three drug-related arrests, Lake County sheriff's police announced Friday. Cruisers Bar and Grille, 38298 Sheridan Road, was ordered closed by village officials, police said.

The move coincided with three searches and the arrests of: Ryan J. Padron, 28, of the 38000 block of Manor Avenue, Beach Park; Shane Colella, 29, of the 2100 block of Lewis Avenue, Zion; and Donald M. Hart-Reyes, age not disclosed, of the 3800 block of Manor Avenue, Beach Park. All were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Cocaine, marijuana and cash were seized at the home Padron and Hart-Reyes share, police said. Cocaine, scales containing cocaine residue, a .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun and cash were seized at Colella's home, police said.

Authorities found cash and a small amount of cocaine residue in the bar, police said.
