A Geneva teen was charged Wednesday with concealing a fugitive who eluded police in a December traffic stop. Deisi Melchor, 17, also faces charges of obstructing justice and marijuana manufacturing or delivery, according to the Kane County Sheriff's Department.

A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by a former employee of the Campton Township Highway District who claimed he was fired because of a back injury. The lawsuit filed by Anthony Cvek of Sycamore was dismissed with prejudice Monday by Judge Charles P. Kocoras, records show.
