Authorities in Chicago say two reputed gang members have been charged in the slaying of a DePaul University senior at a Logan Square Halloween party.

Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County State's Attorney's office, says 19-year-old Narciso Gatica and 21-year-old Berly Valladores were both charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and attempted murder. They were arrested Tuesday.

Police say the two were apparently were involved in a dispute over an uninvited guest at the party early Sunday morning. When someone began firing shots, DePaul senior Francisco Valencia was killed and another senior, Daisy Camacho, was wounded.
