May 13, 2026 1:29 pm - Sinfonietta Bel Canto will perform John Philip Sousa's operetta "El Capitan" on May 16-17 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Downers Grove. The comic opera follows Don Medigua who disguises himself as the mercenary "El Capitan" to foil a revolt planned by the disposed Viceroy Cazzaro, leading rebels in circles until they're too tired to fight.
