Winsted Holdings creates subsidiary

NORTHFIELD -- Winsted Holdings Inc. Wednesday revealed the creation of subsidiary Winsted Acquisition I Inc., which intends to look immediately for acquisition candidates in the food, natural food and beverage markets. Winsted Holdings intends to distribute shares of the new subsidiary at a share ratio to be determined.

RoundTable buys two companies

LAKE FOREST -- RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused on the health care industry, said Thursday that it has acquired a majority interest in Vesta Inc., a supplier of silicone medical products to the OEM medical device industry. The Vesta management team will retain a substantial ownership stake in the company and will continue to lead the management of the organization. Additionally, Roundtable's portfolio company Avalign Technologies Inc. recently completed the acquisition of Nemcomed Inc., a designer and manufacturer of precision machined medical implants and instrumentation for orthopedic specialties.
