Briefs: Broker opens Sunbelt franchise

ADDISON -- Sunbelt, which specializes in helping individuals and companies buy and sell businesses, said Wednesday that Harsha Shukla owns the new franchise serving DuPage County that opened on West Fullerton Avenue in Addison. Shukla joins Sunbelt as a broker with more than 15 years of accounting and legal experience. She is a member of the North West Association of Realtors, among others. Harsha resides in Des Plaines. Sunbelt was founded in 1978 in Charleston, S.C., and began franchising in 1993.

Waterford acquired by Kensington

OAK BROOK -- Kensington International, an Oak Brook talent management firm, has acquired Chicago-based Waterford Career Partners, a career transition and executive coaching firm. Will Clarke, the owner of Waterford, joins Kensington as vice president, business development. Kensington provides executive search, leadership development and outplacement services.
