Location a big part of Arlington Reserve

Whether you ride the train or drive to work, Arlington Reserve offers a commuter-friendly location with easy access to the Metra station and proximity to the Northwest Tollway.

The Lennar community features 54 three-story row houses with two to three bedrooms, two full and two half-baths, balconies and attached two-car garages. Buyers can choose from three floor plans.

Located a quarter-mile west of Arlington Heights Road on Algonquin Road, Arlington Reserve marks Lennar's debut in Arlington Heights.

A recent grand opening unveiled two model row houses that are open to visitors.

While Arlington Reserve's location has piqued interest, so has Lennar's Everything's Included concept, which has particular features included in the home's price.

For example, the row houses include premium features such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, master baths with double-bowl sink, a European-style vanity and 9-foot ceilings on the lower and main levels.

"With over 2,000 square feet spread across three levels, these designs really live like single-family homes," said Leigh Nevers, vice president of marketing for Lennar. "And by offering both a two- and three-bedroom plan, we're able to provide an ideal layout for everyone from the single professional to the married couple with a growing family."

The Berkeley model features a contemporary decor, 2,027 square feet, three bedrooms, two baths and two powder rooms.

There is a covered porch on the ground level, which includes a family room, powder room, storage area and access to the garage.

On the main level, the kitchen features stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinets topped with granite and a center island that doubles as a breakfast bar.

Off the kitchen are the laundry and powder rooms, and an outdoor balcony.

The dining-living room is furnished with a dark wood table with tan upholstered chairs and a brown sofa and love seat. An enclave is set up as a homework station with plenty of room for two computers. Red draperies add spice to the area.

The upper level houses all three bedrooms and a full hall bath.

The master bedroom is large enough to accommodate a king-sized bed. The room has plenty of windows and natural light. There is also a walk-in closet. The private bath has two sinks and a tub-shower combo decorated with a leaf-patterned shower curtain.

Another bedroom furnished for a young boy features a train theme with a hand-painted mural. The third bedroom is furnished with a green and white daybed topped with pillows. Black and white photography is also on display.

The Devonhurst model also has a contemporary decor with 2,025 square feet, two bedrooms, two baths and two powder rooms.

There is a covered porch at ground level, which includes a family room, powder room, storage area and access to the garage. In the family room, four chairs circle an ottoman, while a geometric design adds interest on two walls.

In the combination dining-living room, a champagne sofa and two chairs offer a quiet spot for conversation, while lots of pillows bring a variety of textures and patterns into the room. A floral arrangement tops the dark wood dining table.

The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances and granite-topped 42-inch maple cabinets. A pub table for two overlooks the balcony. The utility/laundry room and powder room sit off the kitchen.

The upper level features two master suites, ideal for overnight guests or live-in relatives. In the primary master suite, an elegant leaf-patterned spread covers the bed that is also topped with striped and animal print pillows.

There's a bay window with lounge chair, two walk-in closets and a private bath with two sinks, tub and separate walk-in shower.

Decorated in a horse racing theme with framed memorabilia, the secondary suite is done in fall colors and has a striped wall behind the bed. There's also a desk with display shelves on either side and a private bath with sink and tub-shower combination.

The third design is the McFarlin with 2,025 square feet, three bedrooms, two baths and two powder rooms.

Monthly assessment fees are $309 for the Berkley, and $288 for the Devonhurst and McFarlin.

To visit Arlington Reserve, take the Northwest Tollway to the Arlington Heights Road exit. Proceed north to Algonquin Road and continue west to the community. The sales center at 2228 South Crambourne Way is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
