Briefs: Inland Capital buys hotel investment

OAK BROOK -- Inland Capital Markets Group Inc. Tuesday said it has closed the purchase of Apple Hospitality Five Inc., a real estate investment trust focused on the ownership of upscale, extended-stay and select-service hotels, on behalf of Inland American Real Estate Trust Inc. for about $700 million. Under the agreement, Apple Hospitality shareholders will receive $14.05 per common share in cash. Apple Hospitality has 27 properties operating under Hilton and Marriott select-service and extended-stay brands.

Grainger branch goes to Bensenville

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- Grainger, a distributor of business maintenance supplies, relocated its branch in Wood Dale to a new building at 880 Devon Ave. in Bensenville. The relocated facility will serve customers in the Elk Grove Village, Bensenville, Wood Dale and Itasca areas. The new 27,000-square-foot facility provides customers access to more than 22,000 locally tailored products.
