OAKBROOK TERRACE -- vAuto, the originator of live market views for used vehicles, announced Thursday the release of its vAuto Pricing Tool. The site allows used car dealerships to view up-to-the-minute pricing of every used vehicle in their market. The site also enables dealers to see where their cars rank on customer Internet searches and adjust their prices to rank higher than competitors.

Richardson sales down, losses slow

LaFOX -- Richardson Electronics Ltd. on Thursday reported its first quarter sales fell about 7 percent to $129.5 million, from the first quarter of last year. The LaFox-based distributor had a net loss of $400,000 in the first quarter, down from $1.1 million last year at this time, the firm said. Chief Executive Officer Edward J. Richardson said he remains optimistic about operating performance for the remainder of the fiscal year.

SCHAUMBURG -- Motorola Inc. is working with Primus Canada and Mipps Inc. on trials of WiMax IEEE in Toronto. The trial, using Motorola's wi4 WiMax, will provide in-field experience and data to both service providers as they evaluate WiMax technology for planned future deployments of high-speed wireless broadband services throughout Canada.

LINCOLNSHIRE -- Acco Brands Corp. cited customer inventory reductions for slower third-quarter sales, in a revised outlook. The Lincolnshire-based office brands maker said it experienced double-digit sales declines in September. The company said the sharp volume decline is the result of its customers making downward inventory adjustments after seeing further weakening consumer demand.

Tenneco posts aftermarket gains

LAKE FOREST -- Tenneco said Thursday it has won additional aftermarket business in the third quarter, which will generate nearly $11 million in incremental revenue. The contracts include a new ride control business previously serviced by a competitor. The Lake Forest-based manufacturer also won business with four new customers for ride and emission control products.
