Briefs: Lending Solutions picks up new client

ELGIN -- Lending Solutions Inc., a provider of lending center services and consulting programs for financial institutions, said Tuesday Vancouver, Wash.-based People's Community Federal Credit Union has selected LSI for its loan-by-phone, Internet lending and member service solutions. LSI serves more than 300 financial institutions including credit unions, banks and mortgage lenders.

Fuel Tech system works in China

BATAVIA -- Fuel Tech Inc., an engineering solutions provider for combustion systems, said Tuesday it started up its first NOxOut Ultra system in China. On Oct. 13, China Huaneng Group, the largest coal-based power generator in China, successfully commissioned a selective catalytic reduction system at Huaneng Beijing thermal power plant, achieving 90 percent nitrogen oxide reduction. Fuel Tech is a global developer of state-of-the-art technologies for air pollution control.
