Briefs: Aldi in Cary now under construction

CARY -- Aldi Foods has started construction of its new location in Cary on Three Oaks Road. Aldi, with U.S. headquarters in Batavia, plans to build or open 50 to 60 stores in the next five years. Aldi says it offers groceries prices at 30 to 50 percent lower than traditional grocery stores, and lower than wholesale clubs. The stores also feature a weekly changing assortment of special purchase items from furniture and clothing to electronics and small appliances.

New product debut at lighting firm

ALGONQUIN -- CFC Outdoor Lighting in Algonquin added a new product line called Bubbling Rock Gardens. They are available in any array of sizes, colors and price points, according to business owner Rudy Kruse. The soft flow of water bubbling out of each rock spills down to the ground creating a soft sound and soothing environment. The company, founded in 1992 specializes in landscape and architectural lighting techniques.
