Briefs: Kitchen Solvers places on sales list

ELGIN -- The Kitchen Solvers corporate office announced Warren and Kathy Schmitt, owners of the Kitchen Solvers of Elgin, ranked number five in monthly sales for September. Rankings come from among three different categories including large, medium and small city markets. Elgin is categorized as a medium city market. Kitchen Solvers was founded in 1982 and has more than 120 franchise outlets.

ISCO International inks merger deal

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- ISCO International Inc., a provider of radio-frequency management and interference-control systems for the wireless telecommunications industry, and Clarity Communication Systems Inc., a private company based in Aurora that sells applications for mobile networks and devices, announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement. ISCO announced that it intends to file a proxy statement for its shareholders later during this month related to this proposed acquisition.
