Briefs: New restaurant in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES -- Fahrenheit Restaurant, 1890 W. Main St., St. Charles, will have a grand opening at 4 p.m. Dec. 13. Fahrenheit is owned by the father-son team Chris and Peter Balodimas. The menu will offer old-world style of cooking and supports locally grown produce, non-metabolically altered and antibiotic-free meats, as well as line caught fish whenever possible. It also has an open kitchen, lofty ceilings, hardwood floors, soft music, warm colors and textured walls.

Kraft changes South Beach name

NORTHFIELD -- Kraft Foods Inc. said Thursday that the South Beach Diet foods will change to the South Beach Living name this month. The name change is a reflection of The South Beach Diet creator Dr. Arthur Agatston's philosophy of encouraging people to adopt life-long healthy eating habits, the company said. Kraft Foods and Agatston formed a partnership in 2004.
