Richardson Electronics, LaFox, hired Doug Albregts as vice president and general manager of its display systems group. Albregts, who previously served as vice president, sales and marketing for NEC Display Solutions of America, will be responsible for furthering the company's digital signage and OEM initiatives, while focusing on efficiency gains through the integration and consolidation of global engineering and product management resources.

Kent Palmer of Crystal Lake, an Allstate exclusive agent, opened an insurance office in Elgin. Kent will offer customers a full-line of Allstate insurance products and services He is a member of the Elgin Chamber of Commerce and is a certified Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter.

Jamie Collins of Hampshire was selected by AGCO Corporation, a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment and related replacement parts, as a 2007 winner of its Chairman's Award. Collins is AGCO parts marketing manager for OEM parts, based in Batavia. He is also responsible for the Heritage program, designed for farmers who want to keep old equipment running and for the large collector groups who restore equipment.

Delnor Health Care Foundation honored St. Charles resident Kay L. Harbaugh with its Bartel Leadership Excellence Award. Harbaugh was honored for her 30 years of uninterrupted service to the Delnor Auxiliary which included work as charity ball committee chairman, historical chairman, antique chairman, president elect, president and Hi-Hat House liaison. Harbaugh was also active on the hospital board of directors from 1995-1996 and as a member of the health system board from 1996 until her retirement in October 2007.

With over 20 years of management, customer service and development experience, Ilene Mann has joined The Larkin Center, Elgin, as purchasing manager. Mann's previous employment includes serving as PACT director at Stevenson High School and as director of facilities management at G. D. Searle & Company. She holds a master of business administration degree from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and is affiliated with organizations such as Stevenson Community-Together We Can Council, National Safety Council and the Northwest Suburban Jewish Community Center.
