Being religious not linked to morality
This is in response to Mr. Ed Smetana's letter in Friday's Fence Post. Mr. Smetana stated Christians, Moslems and Jews believe man evolved from a man called Adam who was created by God.
I have news. Most educated Christians, Moslems and Jews believe in evolution, not the story of Adam and Eve.
Mr. Smetana also doubts "this country would have lasted over 200 years with an atheistic or agnostic president." Once again, he is off the mark as he equates being religious or following a religion with morality.
There is absolutely no correlation between being religious with being moral. Read your history and look at all the immoral acts perpetrated by supposed religious men.
