Endorsement: Kane Board, District 26

The towns in Kane County Board District 26 -- Elburn, Sugar Grove and Kaneville, among others -- don't always see eye to eye, most notably on issues such as growth. So it's no surprise that parts of the district might have issues with longtime county board representative Jan Carlson in the GOP primary for Kane County Board District 26, namely leaders of a soon-to-be large development in LaFox. Drew Frasz, one of the LaFox residents who helped reach a groundbreaking agreement with developers, singles out Carlson for failing to help them when they needed it. And he points to Carlson's support of the Prairie Parkway -- and Frasz's opposition of it -- as a sign Carlson is out of touch with his constituents' needs.

We support the parkway and endorse Carlson for his ability to deliver for his district, his leadership on the county level and his firm grasp of county issues.
