Radiohead to headline this summer's Lollapalooza
Radiohead will headline this summer's Lollapalooza festival Aug. 1-3 in Grant Park in Chicago.
Organizers announced 120 bands will play the festival, now in its fourth year. Radiohead's headlining set will be the band's first stop on their second U.S. leg after the release of "In Rainbows," the band's recent album that made news late last year for its pay-what-you-can digital release.
This year features major powerbrokers in headlining slots, including Nine Inch Nails, a reunited Rage Against the Machine (featuring guitarist Tom Morello, a Libertyville High School graduate), The Raconteurs and Chicago stars Wilco, Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco.
Other Chicago bands on the bill include Bald Eagle, Office and rising hip-hop acts The Cool Kids and Kid Sister.
Other bands scheduled to play this year include Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Gogol Bordello, The National, The Black Keys, Broken Social Scene, Cat Power, Bloc Party, Gnarls Barkley, a reunited Love and Rockets and Mark Ronson, the DJ-producer responsible for producing "Back to Black," last year's smash album by Amy Winehouse.
Tickets are now available via lollapalooza.com. Advance three-day passes are $190, expected to later rise to $205.
