Girls Night Out

Spring Bluff Nursery in Sugar Grove will have its annual Girls Night Out Thursday. The free event starts with plant specials at 3 p.m., with complimentary food, drinks and music to follow at 6 p.m. The first 200 guests receive free perennials. Concerts in the Park

Free concerts are planned in St. Charles as part of the park district's annual Concerts in the Park series. The concerts start at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Park, along West Main Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. Scheduled to perform are Gizzae on Thursday and The Class of '68 on July 24. Disco in St. Charles

Seventies chart-toppers KC and the Sunshine Band are scheduled to perform Friday at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St., St. Charles. Tickets to the 8 p.m. start at $42. Special Olympics tag sale

The Aurora Police Department is raising funds to benefit Special Olympics with a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the third floor of the Area 2 Police Station, 157 N. Root St. Park in the north parking lot and enter through the north doors. Clothing, toys, furniture, books, videos, Christmas decorations, housewares and electronics will be for sale. Children's art show

Artwork by St. Charles School District 303 students is on display throughout July at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave. The Imagination Student Art Show exhibit is on display throughout the library and features pieces from all grade levels. Cigar-tasting planned

A cigar-tasting event is planned for 7 to 10 p.m. July 25 at Bull & Bear Tobacco Shop, 1 W. Illinois St., St. Charles. The gathering is to feature cigar maker Alec Bradley and will include samples of gourmet rum, beer, wine, coffee and hors d'oeuvres. Admission is $20. For reservations, call (630) 513-9345.
