Seals Web site has lies about Kirk

While I and many of my 10th District neighbors have been surprised at the level of vitriol advertising executive Dan Seals has directed at our incumbent Congressman Mark Kirk, I was still surprised to discover a flat-out, blatant lie published on the Democratic challenger's Web site. Seals' ironically titled KirkFacts page contains a contrived list of supposedly Frequently Asked Questions, including "Is it true Mark Kirk got an A+ from the NEA?" "No," offers the campaign, "his actual rating is a B." Helpfully, the site provides an adjacent link to the NEA's House Scorecard so that readers can themselves verify Seals' claims. There's just one problem: Actually checking out the NEA's ratings reveal that Kirk received an "A."

Seals, attempting to represent my area, hasn't seen fit to actually move into it; he clearly takes his political cues from fellow Chicago politicians in his native 9th District. Answering a question nobody asked with a blatant lie about our respectable, independent Congressman is precisely the type of harmful mudslinging we suburbanites are quite content to leave, along with Mr. Seals, at our district border.
