'Ultimate Girls Night Out' in Fox Lake
Calling all bachelorettes and birthday girls! The "Ultimate Girls Night Out" is yours for the taking Saturday, Sept. 6, at Famous Freddie's in Fox Lake. Cost is $10 per person for a reserved party zone, two drinks per attendee, champagne toast, appetizer buffet, rowdy MC, exotic male entertainment and admission to the club that night.

Wine & design
Traveling potter Kerry Scheunemann brings her mobile ceramics painting studio to Vintner's Cellar Winery in Libertyville Wednesday, Sept. 24. "Wine & Design" runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Guests will decorate their own one-of-a-kind coolers as six wines offered for tasting and discussion. Within the week, the cooler will be professionally fired and returned to Vintner's Cellar containing a bottle of wine selected by each participant. The cost of the evening is $42 per person.

Back to the future
The spirits will be flowing in more ways than one Friday, Sept. 12, at Weather Mark Tavern's Back to School Party. Paranormal radio show host Edward Shanahan will be on hand doing private readings for tavern guests beginning at 8 p.m. Guests should bring in an item from a loved one who has passed on, and he will tell you about it. Space is limited. First-come, first-served appointments are 10 to 15 minutes long. A love offering of $20 is suggested.
