Class of '72 ring found

Stephen Crowley of Sun Prairie, Wis., should be receiving his Warren Township High School Class of 1972 ring pretty soon. Teri Selzer, an employee at Woodstock Unit School District 200, recently found Crowley's ring in a box of trinkets while helping her sister move. Selzer contacted officials at Gurnee-based Warren District 121 to alert them of her discovery. Crowley's initials were inscribed on the ring and were cross-checked with the 248 seniors in the 1972 yearbook. Crowley was the only one whose initials matched. Warren's alumni directory then led to contact with him at his Wisconsin home about the ring. The pipe fitter said he was surprised to be notified about the size 10 1/2 ring. "I thought it would have been stuck in the mud somewhere all those years," Crowley said.

New student representatives

Gurnee-based Warren Township High School District 121 has selected four student representatives to the board of education for the 2008-09 academic year. Sophomore Kyle Chung, freshman Molly Triveline, senior Emilie Schwenk and senior Carly Kroll will be the student body's link to the adults on the elected board. There are representatives from the Almond Road upperclassmen campus and the O'Plaine Road building for freshmen and sophomores. A student representative from each campus attends school board meetings to provide reports about happenings at their respective building. The teenagers also provide input regarding student opinion. The students do not cast formal votes with District 121's adult board members.
