Dan Seals is wrong on Medicare

In 2006 Seals told the Daily Herald that he wanted to do away with the Medicare Prescription drug benefit for our seniors. On his Web site and in numerous interviews, Seals says that he wants to bring the 47 million uninsured in this country into the Medicare program. Included in that 47 million are millions of illegal immigrants.

So Dan Seals wants to cut benefits for senior citizens, many of whom desperately need help paying for their prescriptions; and who have paid into the Medicare program their entire lives. And he wants to spend the money he saves giving free health care to illegal immigrants, who have never paid into Medicare and are criminals simply by living here.

With those kinds of priorities, Dan Seals will never get my vote.
