Shattuck has fresh ideas

I have known Rachel Shattuck for almost 10 years and watched her grow from a smart, shy girl to a strong, powerful woman.

I consider myself a Republican, but can say I support Rachel Shattuck for state representative. She will bring the fresh ideas and prospective we so desperately need in Springfield.

Being a recent college graduate from a university in Washington D.C., her experience is first hand. The two most important issues in Illinois in my opinion are education and the economic crisis along with the inability of our legislature to work together to get things done. I think that being a recent graduate gives her a clear picture of how important education is and that the state needs to make changes in how we fund our schools from preschool to high education institutions.

Her experience in the real estate industry also gives her an edge because she is aware of how the market has so drastically changed. I do believe that we need change and the incumbent cannot bring anything different.

I am confident that Rachel's passion for the process and her willingness to share her young, fresh prospective is just what we need here in Illinois.
