Start the new year with our Fittest Loser Challenge

Are you looking to find your thinner inner self in the new year? We'd like to give you the best shot at making it happen.

The Daily Herald and Live Well, our new fitness publication, are offering the Live Well Fittest Loser Challenge sponsored by Push Fitness in Schaumburg.

We are seeking five motivated people to see who can lose the most weight in a 12-week period. Each participant will receive free instruction from a personal trainer and nutritionist to train three to four days a week in Schaumburg.

Contestants will be featured in before and after photos and stories highlighting their progress. Results will be measured each week. The Fittest Loser will be chosen based on percentage of weight loss. The winner will receive free training at Push Fitness and other prizes.

To apply, please describe in 300 words or less your goal for weight loss, your motivation for participating, previous attempts at weight loss and any physical conditions that might affect your training. E-mail your essay by Jan. 12 to: fittestloserchallenge@dailyherald.com.
