Drew Peterson's son: Kids think dad is innocent

Drew Peterson's adult son says that he and the rest of the former Bolingbrook police sergeant's children say they believe their father is innocent of charges that he killed third wife Kathleen Savio.

Peterson was indicted last wee on first-degree murder charges in the 2004 drowning death of Savio. He is being held on $20 million bail in Will County.

Peterson has denied any involvement in either Savio's death or the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson.

In the statement, Stephen Peterson says Peterson's family are confident in their father's innocence and are praying for his release from custody.

He also says that Peterson's two children he had with Savio and the two younger children he had with Stacy Peterson are staying with him.
